Hi, Orlando Toyota fans! We hope you had a fantastic Memorial Day weekend! We hope you had a relaxing time with your friends and family and that you recharged for your week! While you may be hard at work for the next four days, you might be planning a fun-filled weekend. After all, summertime has unofficially kicked off!
If you’ve been outside, you’ve noticed that the temperatures are most definitely rising! What better way to cool off this summer than by going to the beach with your furry friends? We made a list of Mr. Toyota’s favorite pet-friendly beaches in Central Florida, so jump in your new Toyota, grab Fido, and soak up the sun! We’re pretty sure you won’t regret it!
Pet-friendly beaches in Florida will cool Fido down!
Mr. Toyota is very important and very special to us. We’re pretty sure you feel the same way about your furry friend! Trying to find a dog-friendly beach near us is a bit more difficult than you would think, but we know just how important it is to frequent the beach during the summer (especially with these wild temperatures)! Here are some of the closest beaches that allow you to bring your furry best friend along for the fun!
- Ft. De Soto Paw Playground and Beach: Located in Saint Petersburg, this is one of the few beaches located in Florida that will allow your pups to run around free without any leash! This is the only dog park in Pinellas County where the pups are allowed on the beach in a designated area! This park also has two fenced in areas that allow your furry friend to run around in!
- Smyrna Dunes Park: If you like the Atlantic beaches rather than the Gulf coast beaches, check out this pet-friendly beach! New Smyrna Beach is about 1.5 hours from Orlando, so it’s close enough to make your trip a one-day vacation! Your pet will be able to play in the water and in the sand, which is exactly what you should during the summer!
- Sand Key Dog Park: This dog park is perfect if you don’t want to take your pup out to the beach, but would like to bring him outdoors! You won’t be on the beach; rather, you will be close to the beach, so you will still get the amazing beach breeze! This park has two separate sides for small dogs and large dogs, so your dog will be in company of dogs his same size!
Make sure Fido is safe this summer!
While having fun in the sun is important during the summer, please remember to take care of your pets! Being in the sun can be extremely taxing on a pup’s body, so make sure your dog stays hydrated! Packing a lot of cool water for you and your dog will lessen the chance of either of you becoming sick! Also, when driving, make sure your pet is secure! A seatbelt harness will keep you and your beloved pet safe at every turn!
