Once you drive your Toyota off of lot, you expect it to be on the road for years to come. These cars are built to last, but not without routine car maintenance to keep them running at their best!
There are a lot of parts to a car, and most of them require tune ups and upkeep. It can be overwhelming thinking about all the parts of a car you have to take care of, but our Orlando Toyota service technicians have come up with seven of the top Toyota service tips to keep in mind.
Toyota Service tips for years of performance!
#1 – Keep up with routine Orlando oil changes. Oil changes are crucial to ensure the engine and other parts run smoothly. Without regular oil changes, the old oil can build up and cause the moving parts to move slower or stop completely. Serious damage to the engine can occur if the oil gums it up or runs out completely.
#2 – Don’t skip tire rotations, balances or alignments! For even wear on tires, they should be rotated regularly. Balancing tires help hinder strong vibrations in the steering wheel and floorboard. Wheel alignments prevent the car pulling to one side of the road and ensure longer tire life!
#3 –Monitor the tire pressure of all four wheels on your car. Be sure they are inflated properly and at the right amount of psi. Low tire pressure can cause uneven wear and an eventual blowout. Make the life of your tires last longer!

#4 –Have your brakes serviced! The brake pads can wear down and cause braking to happen slower and can eventually cause the brakes to not work. Brakes fluids should also be checked!
#5 – Florida sun demands a lot from your car’s paint, so always have a quality coat of wax on your car’s exterior. The sun’s heat can cause the paint to fade, crack or peel and a new paint job can be expensive! Keep your vehicle protected from the sun by adding a layer of wax regularly.
#6– Replace worn out windshield wipers! About every six or eight months, windshield wipers stop working as well as they did before, and should be replaced. Visibility is extremely important while behind the wheel! If your windshield wipers begin to squeak, chirp or smear across the windshield, stop by our Orlando Toyota Parts Department for quality, new wipers.
#7 – Routine coolant flushes! Hot summer days mean a functioning coolant system is crucial! Cars can overheat and stop working if not properly cooled. Check the owner’s manual of your vehicle to see how often your car needs a coolant flush. If it is time, bring your car in for Toyota service in Orlando!
