It happens every single year. I tell myself, “Next year, I’ll have my Christmas shopping done by the first week of December.” And every year, I fail. If you suffer from chronic procrastination like I do, this list of last-minute gifts is for you. Our family of Orlando dealerships put their heads together and came up with 10 great last minute gifts for the people in your life, close or not, that you have yet to go shopping for. You have no more time to waste, so let’s get started!
These last-minute Christmas gift ideas are real life-savers!
1. Baked goods
Decorate sugar cookies or give the gift of homemade pie. Or go UN-baked by DIY-ing chocolate chip cookie mix, eggnog pancake mix, or a hot cocoa care package. Use canning jars to layer up the mix, wrap decorative ribbons, make your own Christmas card, and voila!
2. Gift cards
Gift cards give people the freedom to pick out their own gift, and only get things when they need them (or really want to treat themselves). Gift cards are a great present for the “hard to please” person, the college student, or the person you forgot to guy for (it happens!).
Wine is an excellent gift choice for the entertainer or wine lover, and all it takes is one stop at your local wine and spirits store. Get a cute Christmas wine bag and some tissue paper, and you are all set.
4. Flower bouquet
Flowers bring life to a home like few other decorations do. It’s the perfect last-minute gift if you are on your way to a holiday party and don’t want to show up empty-handed. It also makes a great add-on to a small present. Oh, and don’t forget the holiday card!
5. TV streaming device
Sorry cable TV, but streaming services are quickly taking over. Apple TV, Roku, and Chromecast, are just a few gift options any TV-lover will enjoy.
6. Movie tickets
I love going to the movies, but at $10 per ticket, I rarely ever treat myself to it. Do you know someone who loves movies? Get them movie ticket vouchers to their nearest cinema!
7. Fitness tracker
New Year’s resolutions are coming right after we’ve spent nearly 3 months gorging on sweets and comfort food. Why not help them get back into shape with a nifty fitness tracker, like a FitBit? It’s useful and actually really cool.
8. Gift basket
Many convenience stores like Walgreens and Target stock Christmas gift baskets, just for us procrastinators. There are options for wine lovers, coffee aficionados, kids, and much more.
9. Paid subscription service
For the music junkie, there are paid monthly services like Spotify Premium, Apple Music, and YouTube Red. For the couch potato, there are streaming services like Hulu, HBO Now, and Netflix (Money-saver tip: You can even give them YOUR account information as a gift).
Candles only sound like a boring gift, but for the frequent entertainer, it’s an absolute must! And you can find them almost everywhere. You can even take it up a notch and get wax warmer instead. They last longer and double as decoration.
Merry Christmas from our Orlando family of dealerships to yours!
Warmest wishes on this already warm Christmas weekend. Stay safe and be merry!
