Recommended car maintenance for your Toyota RAV4!
Once you’ve been driving your car for a few months, and you’ve racked up about 5,000 miles, it’s time to bring your car to our Toyota Service Center! After the first three months or 5,000 miles, your new Toyota RAV4 needs:
- An oil change (for conventional oil) – The motor oil needs to be changed after 5,000 miles, so the old oil that has thickened and collected debris can be drained and replaced with fresh new oil.
- A tire rotation – To keep your tires in good shape and to prevent uneven wear, you should have them rotated.
- A car battery check – Have our auto service techs check your car battery’s charge to make sure it’ll keep your car running!
- A chassis check – You should have the bolts on your SUV’s chassis tightened if you plan on towing.
After your Toyota SUV’s first visit to our Orlando Toyota Service Center, you’re good to go for another few months or thousands of miles. Our auto service center wants you to stay on top of recommended car maintenance. If you’re wondering what else your Toyota RAV4 will need, we have that too!
Once you reach 10,000 miles your vehicle will need another conventional motor oil change. However, your SUV will only need its first oil change if you have synthetic motor oil. Every 10,000 miles, your new Toyota SUV in Orlando will need an oil change if it uses synthetic motor oil. Synthetic motor oil is made of synthetic materials and is more durable and long-lasting than conventional motor oil.
After six months, your new Toyota RAV4 in Orlando will need another car battery check. While car batteries are built to last for three to five years, it’s also important to have the charge of your battery checked frequently. You don’t want to end up stranded on the side of the road with a dead battery!
When you’ve had your new Toyota SUV for quite some time, and there are 25,000 miles on the odometer, you should bring your car to our Orlando Toyota Service Center to have your brake pads replaced. After some time, your brake pads get worn down. Worn down brake pads can be dangerous and can be risky for sudden stops.
Don’t forget your windshield wipers! With the change of seasons, it’s important that you always have maximum visibility.
