This Sunday is National Children’s Day, so that means it’s time to have a family outing with the kids in Orlando. The Orlando Automotive Family has put together some of our favorite (and inexpensive) spots to take the kids this weekend.
Orlando Gaylord Palms SummerFest
Gaylord Palms Resort invites guests to join them from May 26 until August 13 to celebrate the spirit of beach parties and summer in this year’s SummerFest! Guests will sing along with shows and activities daily in addition to having a blast at the resort’s newly expanded water park. Highlights include: a pool party, scavenger hunt, PJ party, ghost tour, and more! The Gaylord Palms Resort is located at 6000 West Osceola Parkway, Kissimmee, FL 34746.
2017 Kids Bowl Free
Looking to find something active to do but beat the heat at the same time? You’re in luck! During the summer, kids can bowl free at Aloma Bowling Centers. With the purchase of a shoe rental, children ages 15 and under can bowl two games for free from Monday-Friday open until 5pm. This event lasts from June 1 until August 31 and is available at Airport Lanes, Aloma Bowl, and Boardwalk Bowl Entertainment Center! So be sure to take advantage of this program before school starts back up again.
Regal Summer Movie Schedule 2017
Did your child miss out on a movie that they really wanted to see this past year? Regal Cinemas have brought back some of the best family movies for the Regal Summer Movie Express. Not only will you get a chance to see some awesome family movies, you’ll be able to see them for only $1 a ticket! Some movies selected this year include: Kung Fu Panda, The Lego Batman Movie, Kubo and the Two Strings, and more! You can attend this event at theaters like Regal Waterford Lakes Stadium 20, Regal Winter Park Village Stadium, Regal Oviedo Mall Stadium 22, and more!
Summer Reading Program at Orange County Library System
Just because it’s summer doesn’t mean that your child has to stop learning! The Orange County Library System is allowing families to register their children in a variety of fun and educational camps, classes and events during the Summer Reading Program. The theme for this year’s Summer Reading Program is “Build a Better World”. The program runs from June 3 through August 5, and can be found at 16 different library locations in the area. The best part? Most of the events are free to current Orange County Library System cardholders! So if you aren’t one, there no time like summer to sign up for a library card.
Be sure to celebrate National Children’s Day by bringing a smile on your kid’s face. The Orlando Automotive Family hopes that whatever you choose to do, you have fun with your family doing it!
