The Orlando Automotive Family dealerships are proud to offer a great selection of vehicles at our Orlando dealerships. We have multiple award-winners with everything from hybrids, hatchbacks, to hybrid hatchbacks. Not to mention some of the greatest sedans and trucks in the industry!
Despite all of these cars with new Toyota technology features that make our lives easier, we can’t help but love the classics. That’s why the Orlando Automotive Family has selected a few vintage Toyota vehicles that we would love to bring back to the production floor. Tell us which ones are your favorites!
Which of these cars would you drive in Orlando?
Toyota Corona: This car’s first generation was produced back in 1957! The four-door sedan was bigger than the current best-selling Toyota Corolla, but was still able to navigate through Japanese streets up until it was discontinued in 2003. Since its first version, the Corona went through eleven generations.
Toyota FJ40: The FJ40 can almost be seen like a grandfather in the Toyota family of vehicles. It served as the inspiration for both the Toyota Land Cruiser and the Toyota FJ Cruiser! Just like the vehicles it inspired, this two-door SUV was built for rough terrain and being able to handle all the elements. Launched in 1960, it has a pretty amazing feature…you could remove its doors and top! That way if you wanted to feel the wind through your hair, you could.
Toyota MR2: If you were looking for something stylish with great performance value, this was the car for you. The MR2 (specifically the MR2 Spyder) was a popular mid-engine two-seater rear-wheel drive sports car thanks to its mix of economical efficiency and sports car performance. It could handle even the sharpest of curves thanks to its light weight, transverse-mounted inline-four engine, and fully independent MacPherson strut front partnered with rear suspensions.
These vintage Toyota models got the job done
Toyota 2000GT: The Toyota 2000GT was the quintessential sports car that inspired the Toyota Supra and the Toyota 86. This vintage Toyota was produced starting in 1965 and made its debut in the James Bond film You Only Live Twice.
Toyota Supra: The Toyota Supra is one of the models we want back more than any other…and so do our customers! Its sleek and strong exterior made it instantly recognizable. Like the 2000GT, this vintage Toyota is a bit of a movie star. It was a favorite vehicle in the Fast and Furious film series.
Toyota has proven to be a force to be reckoned with in the automotive industry for decades.
